What is Airbrush Tanning?
Airbrush Tanning is the process of applying a fine mist of tanning solution to your body using an airbrush. SunKissed.me uses trained technicians that ensure the solution is applied evenly with no streaking. Airbrush tans are applied by hand and follow the contours of your body, unlike spray booths which are one size fits all.
What is Tanning Solution?
The most commonly used active ingredient in tanning solution is DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), a color additive that darkens skin by reacting with amino acids in the skin’s surface layer. DHA is derived from sugar beets or sugar cane.
Why do I need to exfoliate my skin?
DHA interacts with the amino acids in the surface layer or "dead layer" of our skin. We slough thousands of skin cells from our surface layer each day. Exfoliating will ensure the best bonded surface layer allowing for better solution application and tan longevity.
How long will my tan last?
Your tan can last up to two weeks as long as you take care of your skin and follow our recommendations listed on the Care page. Our solution is longer lasting than most and our tans can outlast others.
What should I wear?
Women may wear dark colored bathing suit, lingerie, shorts & tank or opt for no tan lines. Men may wear dark colored bathing suit, underwear, shorts, shorts & tank.
What is the advantage of an Airbrush Tan vs. UV Tan?
Airbrush tanning is a safe sunless UVA/UVB free form of tanning. One 15 minute SunKissed.me tan can be the equivalent of 6 tanning bed sessions, making it quite time and cost effective. Airbrush tanning prevents the need to expose your skin to the harmful effects of the sun to achieve a sun kissed glow.
Can I tan if I’m pregnant or nursing?
